One game will work on one mobile phone but the group playing can be any size.  If you want to have a race or make it a challenge, then simply buy another one-time code for £8.99 and the game can be started at the same time without having to stay together.  As always, we are as flexible as we can be.

That is up to you.  All of our games are expected to last for around 90 minutes, although this will vary group to group.  And, of course, it will be longer if you use the pause button to take a break,  But each game also has an extend button, which is a optional 30 extra minutes of clues which you can choose to add only if the family are up for it!

The app has been designed to give you all the help you need, although it comes at a price!  The first available hint should get you on the way to solving the puzzle, but will add 2 minutes onto your time.  The second hint will give you much more information but will cost you 5 minutes.  And, if you are really stuck, you can spend 10 minutes and reset yourself to the next puzzle.  It is certainly possible to not use any hints during a game, but the fact they are there gives you peace of mind when you play the games.

Light, comfortable clothing and suitable footwear with treaded soles is usually best although wet weather gear will be useful in adverse weather conditions. We don’t want to see anyone have accidents so it is important that you take the time to make sure you will be safe.  AdventureOut Ltd take no responsibility for accidents during our games, howsoever caused.

Late?  Late?  You cannot be late!  You start the game when you are ready.  There may be some local time restrictions – eg the closure of a castle or access to gardens, but these will be indicated in the game description and travel details.

Most of our games are outside or are in a single car, so the risk of any transmission is tiny.  For our museum adventures, please check with the local venue to ensure that you are aware of any local rules and requirements before you travel.

When you have solved the final puzzle, you will be able to take a selfie to show how clever you all are!  This selfie will be added automatically to the certificate showing your (fast) time.  The certificate can be shared by email, but also WhatsApp, messaging and onto social media.  When sent by, the image cam also be printed to hang proudly on the fridge. Finally, we will ask you to give us a review so we can understand how much you enjoyed the game and to get ideas on how we can keep improving.  Then you are free to enjoy the surroundings or have a well-earned sit down!
